The Challenge:
As an industry leader Schnaithmann is always looking for ways to improve services to their customers. One way they could improve customer service was to acquire a design tool that would allow them to deliver visual 3D design concepts to customers quickly and efficiently in order to get sign off from the customer and secure the order and begin implementing the solution.

After evaluating various CAD systems including the IronCAD Design Collaboration Suite (DCS) Schnaithmann realized that by using IronCAD, they had found a solution that would deliver above and beyond their existing needs. In addition, they realized that the IronCAD DCS could be used in many areas of their business, not just in design. To begin they started by using IRONCAD (a component of the DCS) and it’s innovative design tools such as drag and drop, the TriBall and catalogs to rapidly build libraries of their components in 3D. Then these completed parts and assemblies were stored in newly created catalogs for rapid machine creation for when working with customers.
Further, the sales department was able to visit customer’s onsite with their laptops with low cost components of the IronCAD DCS. While on site, the sales representatives actually built to order the customers design, getting the sign-off on the design while with the customer, greatly reducing the sales cycle. By using this component of IronCAD DCS, the sales representative was able to create bill of materials, pricing sheets, renderings and animations with the customer. This allowed them to easily secure new orders and grow their business. The IronCAD Design Collaboration suite has allowed Schnaithmann to provide designs to customers faster than ever before giving them the competitive advantage they need to grow their business. They are able to increase customer confidence, better meet their customer’s needs and rapidly deploy design solutions.
